Stamp Camp Pictures

Hi ladies I just thought I would post a few more pictures of my stamp camp projects. The scrapbook tin was so fun and easy. It took longer to choose the photos than create the tin. The first photo is of the outside of the tin. I used stickles on the butterfly and the word enjoy. I used paper from Stampin' Up! It is called Afternoon Tea. All the tins at my stamp camp will vary because I have an assortment of paper for you to choose from. The following photos are of the tin open. Remember if you know my mother in law, mums the word on this gift. Thanks.
I will post photos of the cards we are going to make later. I need to take some more close up photos of the cards. I also have a boy breathing down my neck to play on Club penguin so I must go.
Have a great Day.

I saw this poem on line today and just had to laugh. How many of us does this sound like?

Mommy's Online

I can hear them calling, so I know they are fine."Where's Mom?" they are saying, Don't they know I'm Online?!!!

"We're Hungry!", I hear. I tell them, "Please hush! Mom is online now, what is the rush!!?" They had a bite yesterday when the phone lines were out, These kids drive you crazy...Oh look! There's a pout! I dispense bowls of cereal as I download a file...No time wasted here...I'm a true computerphile!

I check out the boards and respond to a few, "We're so bored!!," moan the children, "What can we do?!!" I tell them to stop, please do not whine. Geeez...can't they see their mother is busy online??!!The grumbling continues as they wander about

"Mom's ALWAYS on the Computer!!," together they shout!
Unawares to me, they yank the phone from the Jack, saying,
"Daddy is right...this is the way to get Mommy back!"

Cook Book

Hey all I am trying to help out our school playground fund by selling the cookbooks we made last year. We still have quite a few left. The cook book has 383 wonderful recipes in it. I should know I typed most of them. My favorite is for Almond Roca. That is my speciality. There is also a great recipe called O'Henry bars. It's made with Special K cereal so it has to be healthy right? ( wink, wink ). So if you would like to help out the school please email me and I can get you a cook book ASAP. All the proceeds will be going to improve our playground. Thanks so much. Here's the details:

Cost: $9.00 + $2.50 shipping/handling

Email: jmcaragan@aol.com

Thanks for your support.

Birthday Bash

Hi ladies I promised that I would post a sneak peek for my birthday bash stamp camp. I love this card. I think it might be a great Mother's day card. It uses some of Stampin Up!'s great designer series paper and of course I blinged it up at bit. I think it is just beautiful and I know any mom would love to get this pretty card in the mail. I might post a couple more cards in the next few days to get you all excited about the upcoming camp. I am sorry the picture is a little blurry. My scanner has trouble with these bumpier cards. Now the details of my camp again.
When: April 17, 2008 12:00- 3:00 or 6:00 - 9:00pm
Where: My house ( call for directions)
Cost: $12.00
Happy Stamping

Two more.

I also wanted to show you two more cards that I love. The first is made with the new Summer Picnic Designer series paper and the Tart and Tangy set from the Occasions collection. Check out www.stampinup.com to view the catalog with more pictures of this great paper. It is perfect for fun teachers gifts. The colors are so bright and fun. The second card (brown one) is from one of the sale-a-bration sets. I was sad to see sale-a-bration end. I had my best quarter ever! Thanks to all of you who purchased from my during this time. I hear there are great things in store from Stampin' Up! The company is celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year. Watch for emails from me about great up coming promotions.

Thanks for looking.

Scrapaganza

Hi all I just thought I would do a quick post to thank everyone who attended the Scrapaganza my sister in law Jana Fogg held this last Saturday. It was a fundraiser for the Relay for Life. It was a huge success. I met a bunch of wonderful new stamping friends. We are hoping to do it again in the fall, maybe even in the early summer.

I have a few cards to show you that I forgot to display at the scrapaganza. They were made with the True Friend set out of the Spring/Summer catalog. I hope you enjoy them.

( It's only 1:15 in the afternoon. ). Well I must go pack my lunch and make a check list for tomorrow. I just thought I would check in and say Hi.

Ok Last One

Ok I had to do one more. I think I repeated a couple photos but it is so fun and easy to scrapbook this way. It does take all the creative process out plus you can't change the way a photo fits (or I don't know how to yet). Thanks for looking. Enjoy

Grandma Scrapbook

Hi sorry I haven't been posting lately. I have been busy. My wonderful Grandma passed away a few weeks ago and I have been busy dealing with some of the details of that. She lived to be nearly 96 and went very peacefully in her sleep. Her passing has taught me the true importance of scrapbooking and journaling in those books.

I often asked her is she had any photos of her as a child or of her family. She would just dismiss it and say " Honey we barely had money for shoes, we certainly didn't have money for pictures." However after she passed I discovered quite a treasure trove of photos in an old cardboard box (gasp!!!). Luckily the bulk of them were in incredible shape. But as the old saying goes "A picture is worth a thousand words" well that only applies if you know a bit about the photo. Grandma left me small clues by writing a bit on some of the photos. So I have managed to piece together some of her history. History I wish she would have shared when she was alive.

This is my first attempt at digital scrapbooking so the pages were just templates off of smilebox.com. Some of my scans aren't great but I know my siblings and cousins wanted to see some of the great photos. I will try to make a few more pages in a few days. The photos that I used were some of my favorites. It is truely amazing the shape they are in. I guess she must have found the only archivally safe cardboard box available.:) I hope you enjoy looking at them. Thanks.

Have a wonderful day and scrapbook those photos!!!!! Don't forget to journal too.
